Untitled Poem # 11…

by Talha Minhas

I have seen reality,

In the most uncertain ways;

The eyes that lie to make peace,

The drear in human plight

To forget all that must be forsaken.

And I have carried it through

To the point of being subtle

But not quite.

I have tried to justify,

Just like you all

But not quite.

Your morals are silly

And vague, your ways.

The expressions are old,

But not so warm.

Truth is only what you want it to be.

Never really cared for an eternity.

In an effort to make an understanding,

You give meaning to your words;

Don’t read this to please your conscience,

It’s bad down here for your taste.
